Their product portfolio includes fast time resolution EMCCDs and sCMOS cameras to slow scan, large area CCDs. Due to company growth, they now have an exciting opportunity to joining their team as the Astronomy Specialist for customers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The Role:
Strengthen existing customer relationships and develop new business relationships within the EMEA Astrophysics research community.
Support EMEA sales team and distributors with technical and applications expertise.
Working as the companies expert in this field, you will take part in customer visits to promote the companies astronomy portfolio.
Evaluate product and service offering in terms of customer technical needs ensuring their requirements are addressed and provided for.
Provide product and application training to both sales staff, channel partners and end-users customers.
Establish and maintain strong industry contacts within the astrophysics community that support both industry knowledge and lead to sales.
You will have opportunity to attend the worlds biggest astronomy conferences and exhibitions.
The Requirements:
A Degree / MSc / PhD in a related field: Astronomy, astrophysics, physics, physical chemistry; or similar.
Strong technical knowledge and interest in astronomy / astrophysics.
Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.
Comfortable with up to 50% travel across EMEA.
