1. Reminder on EWASS 2013, to be held in Turku, Finland, 8-13 July 2013

EWASS 2013, the European Week of Astronomy and Space Science, will take place
in Turku, from the 8 to the 13th of July, 2013. It will host 7 plenary talks,
12 Symposia, and 16 Special Sessions on various aspects of modern astronomy.

Note that the early registration deadline is 8th of April (see below).

2. EWASS 2013: 'early bird' registration deadline - 8th of April

The participants? registration fees include attendance in the scientific
programme, congress materials, coffee and lunch on the meeting days as well as
the Get-together party on Monday, 8 July.

3. ASTRONET at EWASS 2013: Mid-term Review of ASTRONET Planning

The ASTRONET Science Vision and Infrastructure Roadmap reports (2007-2008) are
the agreed blueprint for long-range planning for European astronomy. They are
currently being reviewed to reflect recent scientific, technical and economic
developments and update the planning. Therefore, ASTRONET invites the community
to a "Town Meeting" to provide input on a draft of its mid-term review report,
taking advantage of the presence of many astronomers at the EWASS 2013
conference. 

Substantial travel support and other incentives are offered to prospective

5. Conference:  "Setting a new standard in the analysis of binary stars"
   Leuven, Belgium, 16-19 September 2013

The aim of this conference is to bring together theoreticians and observers,
to review the present capabilities of matching models with new high-quality
observations, and to identify the problems that stand in the way of a proper
understanding of stellar physics.
