Postdoctoral position in YSO spectroscopy at the University of Vienna	Closing date: 2022-12-30 Contact: Odysseas Dionatos
We invite applications for a postdoctoral researcher position to pursue research related to star formation and ISM physics and chemistry, focusing in spectroscopic studies of young stellar objects with machine learning techniques. The successful candidate will join the research group of Dr. Odysseas Dionatos at the Department for Astronomy at the University of Vienna. The research group works on a range of projects involving machine learning techniques in star formation studies and leads the H2020 project NEMESIS.

Applicants should have a PhD in astronomy or a closely related field. Experience in star formation, machine learning techniques and IFU spectroscopy are highly desirable. The appointment will be for a period of 3 years with an estimated starting date on November 1st, 2022. Interested candidates should send a cover letter, CV, and a brief statement of research interests (no more than 3 pages) in a single pdf file to odysseas.dionatos @ univie.ac.at by 30.12, 2022.
