We are seeking to fill a PhD position in the phenomenology of self-interacting Dark Matter at the observatory of the University of Hamburg.

A masters degree in physics or astronomy is required, as well as documented experience in programming and work on high-performance computer systems. Knowledge of cosmology and extragalactic astronomy is expected.
This position is part of the Excellence Cluster "Quantum Universe" that pools interdisciplinary work in astronomy, particle physics and mathematics. We offer a vibrant international environment with world-class research facilities and a successful mentoring programme.

Salary is paid according to the German public service pay scale 0.67% of TV-L E13. including wellness benefits, workplace insurance, pension contributions and holiday pay.
