We invite applications for 1-2 PhD positions at the Institute of Theoretical Physics at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic, to join recently established research group in time-domain astrophysics (PI Ondrej Pejcha).

We seek candidates interested in observational or theoretical aspects of time-domain astrononomy. Possible topics include core-collapse supernovae, stellar mergers, eclipsing binaries, variable stars, stellar dynamics, (magneto)hydrodynamics, radiation transport, "big data", etc. The group has access to the All-Sky Automated Survey for Supernovae (ASAS-SN). The candidates are expected to work within international collaborations. The positions are funded by the Primus award to Dr. Ondrej Pejcha.
