Registration

Opening of registrations: 15 December 2015
Deadline for very early registration: 15 February 2016
Deadline for early bird registration: 30 April 2016
Deadline for regular registration: 4 July 2016

Due to the large number of abstracts submitted for EWASS 2016 and the limitations to the total number of participants we can host in Athens, the conference registration was suspended for several weeks. This was decided in order to ensure that people who have contributed an abstract would be able to register.

As of June 13, late registrations are being accepted.

* EAS Future Member fees apply if you have recently applied or if you wish to become a member of the EAS. The 40 € difference (20 € for PhD students, i.e. Junior Members) in registration fees will cover your 2016 membership fees. Future members should read carefully the EAS Constitution and Bye-laws. Please read the benefits of becoming an EAS member and submit your application. Should your membership application not be submitted before the conference, you will be considered as a non-member and full fees will apply.
** Students fee apply only to undergraduate and PhD students. A scan of the student card or a letter from the University on headed paper confirming the participant's student status should be sent to ewass2016 @ kuoni.com

Take advantage of the very early bird fee before 15 February 2016. Desk registration will be limited.

Registration fees include:

Admission to all sessions (5 days, except for one-day registration)
All lunches & Coffee breaks (5 days, except for one-day registration)
Welcome Cocktail
Congress documents

Registration fees do not include:

Conference Dinner
Accommodation
Touristic excursion
Travel expenses
Personal insurance

All sessions will be held in English. There is no simultaneous translation provided.

Grants

The European Astronomical Society (EAS) provides a limited number of EAS/Springer Grants to attend the EWASS conference. They are restricted to EAS members by the end (Dec. 31) of the year preceding the EWASS. They are dedicated to students and postdocs who have a contributed or invited talk.

Grant requests are accepted from the opening of the registration (December 15th) to the deadline for Abstract Submission (March 15th). The candidates will be informed on the status (granted or not) of their funding request before the end of the Early Bird registration deadline.

Cancellation policy

All cancellations and changes are to be addressed to the Congress Secretariat in written form at any stage prior to or during the event.

Fees will be refunded after the conference (EUR), according to the following policy:

Cancellations received before May 1st, 2016:
100% refund less bank charges.
Cancellations received between May 1st, 2016 and June 10th, 2016:
An administration fee of 50 € will be charged.
Cancellations received after June 10th, 2016:
no refund can be made.

Substitutions can be made at any time by contacting the congress secretariat in written form. Organisers shall not be liable for refunds should visas not be obtained.
