Registration fee waivers and/or grantsIn its effort to widen the participation to our annual meeting, the European Astronomical Society (EAS) provides support for a limited number of students and researchers for whom attendance would be a financial hardship, sponsored by our organisational members, the MERAC Foundation and Springer. The waivers and grants are open to all participants, EAS member or not, invited speakers, contributed speakers or ePoster presenters, and from all over the planet. They are aimed at colleagues who, for whatever reason, will have difficulty to pay. This can include non-funded or unemployed students or colleagues, or retirees, but also other astronomers, from all countries. Participants can request fee waivers and/or hotel costs and/or travel costs. You can now apply for registration fee waivers and/or grants! The deadline for applying is the same as for the abstract submission (3 March 2025). Grant application is separate from registration and abstract submission for the conference. Applicants must also submit their abstract through the submission portal by the deadline of March 3 if they aim to participate, regardless of the outcome of their grant request. Registration can wait for the decision, but will be required to take part in the EAS 2025 meeting (applicants receiving a registration fee waiver will receive a specific link in due time). Note that fee waivers are also available for volunteers, see the relevant page. |
