Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals for the post of Senior Lecturer or Lecturer (depending on qualifications and experience) in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST).
BIUST is the designated national Host Institution for the Botswana contribution to the African VLBI Network and ultimately to the Square Kilometre Array Phase 2. The University is undergoing a period of rapid expansion of which astronomy is an integral part. | ▸ more | Duties of the successful applicant would be as follows:
Senior Lecturer - To teach and educate undergraduate and graduate students in Physics and Astronomy and to build the knowledge base in Radio Astronomy through research and publications. To administer teaching activities within the discipline of Physics and Astronomy and provide leadership at the module or course level. To establish a national and international research reputation in the field of Radio Astronomy. To be active in professional service related to Astronomy.
Lecturer - To teach and educate undergraduate and graduate students in Physics and Astronomy and to build the knowledge base in Radio Astronomy through research and publications. To administer teaching activities within the discipline of Physics and Astronomy.
