Welcome in Lyon!

Access to Lyon is quick and direct whether you are arriving from Paris, Geneva, Barcelona, London, Milan, Frankfurt or any other major European city. Whether you choose to come by air, rail or road, Lyon is well served by a network of public transportation that covers the entire city. Also, while in the city, there are various types of transport such as buses, metro, taxis, rental cars and bicycles. If you opt to drive by car, there are many car parks in and around Lyon.

By road

It is not complicated as Lyon is really well served by its major roadways and highways. Indeed, the city is the center of a vast road network of over 1000 km, which connects Lyon to major European cities (Geneva: 1h40 / Turin: 3h / Barcelona: 6h).

By train

With 2 stations in the city center including Part-Dieu and Perrache, you will be sure to find your way in and out of the city. The TGV or fast speed train places Lyon in the center of Europe today (Paris: 2h / London: 5h / Barcelone: 5h).

By Air arriving at Lyon St-Exupery airport

By tram

The tram service connects St Exupery Airport to Lyon Part-Dieu in less than 30 minutes. It provides this transportation service 365 days a year (Departure every quarter hour from 6 am to 9 pm and every half hour from 4.25 am to 6 am and from 9 pm to midnight).

By Taxi

Available in front of Terminals 1, 22 and the train station. You can call a taxi with the machine to the rank. Approximate rate to Lyon Part Dieu: 45-50 € day / 65-70 € night / Lyon Centre : 50-55 € day / 65-70 € night

If you come from a country in Schengen Area, you won't need any visa. France also have agreements with several countries which allow you to come without any visa, such as for USA citizens. Other countries citizens who would like to join us will need to apply for a visa.
