RAS NAM 5-a-side Football Tournament

As always, this event is open to everyone who may be interested - no matter what level of experience you have or what background. We welcome mixed teams and although the tournament is mainly for fun (and fitness!) there will be a small trophy for the winning team - and the pride that inevitably comes with being crowned NAM/EWASS football champs!

The tournament venue is Peter Lloyd Leisure Centre, Bankfield Rd, Liverpool L13 0BQ. We invite interested teams to contact EWASS2018 @ ljmu.ac.uk as soon as possible so that a tournament schedule may be drawn up.

Should you wish to register a team, you may do so by contacting us at EWASS2018 @ ljmu.ac.uk with the subject line "EWASS2018 @ soccer team <team_name>". If you already have a team, please also add contact email, in case we need to provide specific info about this. If you would like to play but you do not have a team, please send a message with subject line "EWASS2018 @ soccer request", and we will try our best to find a team for you.

As EWASS is a European-wide event, entries from everyone attending are welcome - entries are NOT limited to UK departments/players.

For the avoidance of doubt, all players must present valid EWASS2018 delegate ID in order to play.

Transport for up to 80 people is available from the ACC to Peter Lloyd Leisure Centre. A bus will depart from ACC at 18:30 promptly, and a returning bus will leave Peter Lloyd at 22:00.

We have access to three artificial 5-7-a-side outdoor football pitches, changing rooms including showers. Football boots with blades or studs should not be worn. The organisers strongly recommend that all players wear shin protection and that all goalkeepers use goalkeeping gloves. Please note that all participants play at their own risk, the organisers can take no responsibility for any injury, damage, or loss.
