Poster prizes

Posters will be displayed in the ACC exhibition hall (bottom floor).

The best-poster prizes, supported by Winton and Oxford University Press, are

Winton Prize (postdocs)

Cash prize of £350 for the winner, and £150 for the runner up.

Oxford University Press Prize (for students)

£250 worth of OUP books for the winner, and £150 worth of OUP books for the runner up.

The poster competition is open to all delegates who are either students or postdocs. Winners will be announced at the closing ceremony.

In order to ensure fair and impartial judging we are asking any eligible poster presenters to self-nominate for the poster prizes. Please note that this is the only way to enter the poster competition!

To nominate you poster, the first/presenting author must be either a student of a postdoc. Please send an e-mail to ewass-poster-competition @ ljmu.ac.uk containing the following information:

Student/Postdoc (note, if there is any doubt, we will confirm statuses)
EWASS Poster number:
Please also include a URL to a PDF of the poster.
Please indicate whether you are already planning on attending the conference dinner.

If the e-mails do not contain the above information we will not be able to process your entry. Any e-mails with the posters sent as attachments will be rejected. We will confirm all entries.

The deadline for entry is 12:00 midday (BST) Thursday 29th March 2018 - please note that the UK changes from GMT to BST (UTC+1) on Sunday 25th March.

Judging of the posters will be undertaken by a panel including members of the EWASS LOC and SOC. The local organisers will ensure (to the best of their ability) that each poster is anonymised (please do not do this yourself before submitting the poster).
