Welcome Reception

The Welcome Reception provides an excellent opportunity to network, meet old friends and colleagues, as well as meet new people as the program begins. It will be held at the Valencia Conference Center (Palacio de Congresos), built by the studio of the famous British architect Norman Foster, winner of the Prince of Asturias Award for the Arts in 2009.

Student Event

This event, free of charge, is for PhD students attending EAS in order to allow them to meet and exchange ideas. It will take place at The Akuarela Playa, one of the most emblematic terraces of Valencia, located on the legendary Promenade of la Malvarrosa, on the beachfront, overlooking the sea.

Conference Dinner

This year the conference dinner will take place at the City of Arts and Sciences, more concretely inside the Museum of Science, in the Main Street (Calle Mayor). With a surface area of 4000 m² and measuring 200 meters in length, its glass cascade reaches a height of 30 metres. Get ready to enjoy the fantastic Spanish gastronomy in one the most emblematic and representative venue that Valencia offers.

Notice that the ticket price for the congress dinner was kept low to welcome as many participants as possible, thanks to a significant financial support by EAS in the ticket price. Accompanying persons pay the actual ticket price.

Astro Run

Join us for a free, non-competitive 6km race through the Turia Gardens, in the heart of downtown Valencia. Either you are a speedy, superluminal runner or a sightseeing walker, everyone is welcome!
It is another opportunity for you to meet and greet with other EAS2022 attendees on this "social tour" along a circuit, that brings you closer to different historical monuments of Valencia.

There is no time limit, no pressure, no competition... Enjoy at your own pace this fun race under the sun with well-deserved traditional Valencia nonalcoholic drink and sweets "Horchata con fartons" at the finish line!

Please note that for a smooth organization, your ID/Passport number and date of birth will be required while registering. These are mandatory from each attendee for the insurance permit of the race. On the day of the race, you will receive a T-shirt and a dorsal with your running number to be recognized as a part of the Astro race. When and where to pick up these items will be announced closer to the event.
