| The Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS) at Sabanci University, Istanbul, Turkey invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the area of Astrophysics. The ideal candidate for this position should hold a Ph.D. in Physics or Astrophysics, and have a strong research background as demonstrated by a publication record in relevant high impact journals. The faculty member will be expected to establish and execute an independent research program at Sabanci University, as well as attract external funding at both national and international levels. The new faculty member will have a primary affiliation with the Physics program and will be encouraged to conduct collaborative research with other programs in FENS as well.
The responsibilities of the new faculty member include teaching undergraduate and graduate level physics courses, supervision and mentoring of graduate and undergraduate students as well as service on committees.
