We invite applications for a PhD position in star formation with machine learning techniques as part of the NEMESIS/H2020 project. | ▸ more | NEMESIS is a collaborative project (University of Vienna, University of Geneva, and Konkoly Observatory/Budapest) that has the ambition to reshape our understanding on the formation of stars by employing artificial intelligence methods to compile and interpret the largest, panchromatic data collection of young stellar objects. The successful candidate will join the group of Odysseas Dionatos at the University of Vienna.
Candidates should ideally have some experience in at least one of the following areas: star formation, classification of young stellar objects, application of machine learning techniques in large (survey) datasets. The appointment is for 3 years with a starting date no later than January 1st, 2022.
Interested candidates are invited to send a brief description of previous research studies, curriculum vitae including possible publications, and provide the names for two references to nemesis @ unige.ch.
